Yogi Berra Museum & Learning Center, Webpages

Client: Yogi Berra Museum & Learning Center

Audience: Teachers, educators & school administrators mostly in New Jersey and the greater NYC tri-state area

Challenge: To interest educators to book field trips in programming that complements and aligns with school subjects, as well as with NJ state standards; to achieve business goal of serving 8,000+ students per year

Tone: Educational, nostalgia for baseball as America’s pastime, importance of integrity, inclusivity, and teamwork

Strategy/Solution: Highlight the many facets of Yogi Berra’s inspiring life – his MVP, all-star baseball career, his military service during World War II, his playfulness with language (“Yogi-isms”), and his childhood as the son of immigrants. In addition, the values he stood for: respect, kindness, integrity, and teamwork.

Capture the Crunch - Cheetos Contest Webpage (spec ad)

Client: Cheetos

Audience: College students, 18-22

Challenge: To attract more young people to buy Cheetos snacks and to enter sweepstakes

Tone: Party-vibe, light, fun, colorful, youthful

Strategy/Solution(s): Create a contest/sweepstakes in which lucky college students win a 2- to 4- year supply of Cheetos snacks and thereby increase sales.  Concept: Be the most popular party host in the quad.

Appleberry Farms: Simply Healthy Veggies Banner Ad (spec)

Client: Appleberry Farms; product - Simply Healthy Veggies

Audience: Busy working moms & dads, age 28-40, who care about serving healthy food but don’t have a lot of time to cook  

Challenge: To solve the “problem” of cooking dinner every night, when you are a busy working parent who wants to satisfy the kids and eat healthy.  A solution to “What’s for dinner?” To get more families to buy Simply Healthy Veggies.

Tone: Upbeat, direct, can-do attitude, healthy, colorful

Strategy/Solution: Headline, “Restore Peace to Dinnertime” and copy detailing how easy Simply Healthy Veggies are to prepare; (even the kids can help)  results in customer increased sales.

Montclair State University - Math & Sports Day Flyer *

Client: Montclair State University Math Department

Audience: High school math teachers from NJ & greater NYC area

Challenge: To enroll high school students in FREE Math & Sports day at Montclair State University

Tone: Educational, youthful, fun, bright, sporty

Strategy/Solution: Use inviting, colorful, fun copy and design to describe a snippet of the program. Invite parents (and thereby students) to get excited about math as a career and MSU as a prospective college. Result: increased enrollment.

Strategy/Solution: Highlight the many facets of Yogi Berra’s inspiring life to get educators to book field trips, thereby achieving museum’s business goal of increasing outreach and serving more than 8,000 students per year.


BaseBuild Summer Program Email Campaign

Client: Yogi Berra Museum & Learning Center

Audience: Parents and teachers/educators of teens – 6th-12th graders with a passion for or interest in engineering, CAD, and 3D printing

Challenge: To enroll teenagers in BaseBuild – a two-week STEM summer camp that introduces students to engineering, innovation design, 3D printing and a college campus

Tone: Inviting, fun, inclusive, educational, youthful

Strategy/Solution: Use inviting, colorful, and fun copy and design to describe a snippet of the program. Invite parents & teachers to enroll students in this low-cost program, accessible to anyone in grades 6-12 in the northern New Jersey area.
